With the goal of not only supporting the sport of triathlon but also helping promising young, local athletes develop into world class professionals,  Alaska Milk Corporation has become the title sponsor of Team Bike Boutique which shall be named Alaska Team TBB. Alaska Team TBB is composed of 10 members of four foreign professionals and six promising local athletes.

The team will compete in all major races in the Philippines (Ironman 5i50 Subic Bay, 70.3 Cebu). Aside from the Century Tuna 5i50 Triathlon in Subic on June 24, 2012, they will also carry the Alaska brand in major races in Asia and International races which include the Ironman Asia Pacific Championship in Melbourne, European Ironman Championship in Frankfurt and the World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

"We are very pleased to have top foreign athletes like Caroline Steffen, Ali Fitch, Matt O'Halloran and David Dellow,” said Uytengsu. “But we also want to augment this with promising young Filipino athletes that will hopefully be able to represent the country in international competitions in the near future. Obviously, having a top caliber coach in Brett Sutton helps make this goal a real possibility."
Uytengsu added that Alaska Team TBB’s professional athletes will not only race for the team but also act as role models to improve the lives of people around the world by providing hope and opportunity through sport.
The Alaska Team TBB pros in the upcoming Century Tuna 5i50 Triathlon include David Dellow, Ali Fitch and Mathieu O'Halloran.

Dellow is a 32-year-old Australian triathlete. This 6’2” tall man has been a pro since 2002. He has participated eight times in the World Cup and has run over 100 races around the world. He was also included in the Australian Elite World Champion team in 2007 and 2008. Recently, David bagged the 1st place in Ironman 70.3 Cairns in Queensland, Australia.

Fitch is an Australian professional triathlete standing at 169cm and weighing 58kgs. This 39-year-old woman has been a pro since 2005. She has had several victories in major races including placing second in 2007 Ironman Malaysia  and 2008 Ironman Canada, and winning 1st place at the 2008 Coeur d’Alene Olympic.

But more than just winning races the Alaska Team TBB program hopes to develop a generation of Filipino champions in the sport of triathlon. This will be accomplished through an athlete development program. Filipino scholarship athletes will be provided spots in the team so that they can follow in the footsteps of the team’s pro athletes.
"Alaska Milk has had a long history of supporting sports including the Alaska Aces professional basketball team in the PBA, the Alaska Cup (the single largest youth football tournament in the Philippines), Jr NBA, the Alaska Power Camp which provides instruction for youth basketball and youth football and is the title sponsor for Alaska Ironkids.
Alaska Milk Corporation cares and nurtures through its sports development programs and inculcates in children the values of teamwork, discipline, determination, integrity and sportsmanship.
“The opportunity to be the title sponsor for Alaska Team TBB Philippines professional triathlon team is a natural progression as Alaska Milk extends its support to triathlon and the development of the sport and promising triathletes in the country," said Uytengsu
