The AVI-BOLT II is aimed at triathletes who yearn for specific features... fast to get on, comfortable, very light and undeniably flash!

The first thing that strikes you about the new lightweight shoe is the colour! Both the men's and women's shoe features a flash new colour combination, that ensures you will spot your shoes in transition, and of course, will get you noticed out on the run course!

Apart from the hip fashion statement that they offer, there are some significant new feature upgrades from the previous model. The AVI-GRIP (tm) heel and tongue features are by far the most interesting for triathletes - the heel grip ensures that you can hold onto the rear of the shoe while getting your foot in (normally something always gets folded in when you put your shoes on in a hurry).

Secondly, it is impossible for the tongue to get crumpled to the front of the shoe as you put your foot in, as it has cleverly been stitched to one side of the shoe. Next, is the ready-made quick lace system, which makes for very easy entry and stable lacing that won't come undone mid-run. The overall fabric used on the shoes is a super soft microfiber in the places that make contact with potentially bare feet, and engineered Air Mesh for great breathability. Inner soles are specially designed anti-bacterial and removable Ortholite (tm). For those that run in the dark (or in the case of the glow stick carriers at Ironman races), the shoes have a number of 3M reflective features for safety.

On the sole front, the Bolt II's have a simple, compression moulded, lightweight EVA midsole, featuring AVIA's Cantilever system, along with DURA-RYD(tm) in the heel strike area. Torsional support is provided by the lightweight TPU shank. The outer sole consists of a high abrasion DURA-STRYKE (tm) compound in the heel strike area, and a blown carbon rubber foot area.
