Cool, I'll hit you up on here when I nail down some dates. Let me know if you recommend any specific dates to avoid holiday madness. Will be in OZ from FEB-MAY and schedule is pretty much wide open, no work, just all play, but I want to be there before IM OZ as that is where I plan to get in my biggest block of training...I hope.
Alright, enough of this, let's get this forum back to more pressing issues like playing where did Bean leave her shoes game. I think TBB just needs to put a webcam on her head so we can see all this first-hand. In fact, all of you should have a webcam attached to your heads, now that would be fun to follow. And it's got to have audio because I don't want to miss out on any of doc's speeches...and all of your responses. Oh how I would love to be a fly on the wall.

Thanks all, I would say that is plenty of fingers pointing me in some direction, appreciate all the advice. Bek what's the best way to get a hold of you should I decide to take you up on your offer? And no worries, I'm a neat freak, borderline obsessive/compulsive but then again, that's a given considering I'm a triathlete.

Thanks for the prompt response Cam and Bek. And Bek I just may take you up on your offer for a couple weeks of training on the Gold Coast. $70 sounds more than reasonable, australian or us dollars. Well Doc, after following TeamTBB and watching its members live their dreams out, so too am I. I will be taking a sabbatical and living life as a pro triathlete. And yes, this means training will be my job, simply cool and amazing and better yet, my company is paying me . I chose to base myself in Sydney because I have a friend from the states who now calls Sydney home. Are there any good forums to find shared housing with a pro triathlete?

Hi all, I'll be moving to Sydney for 4 months from FEB-MAY of 2010. I'm in the very early stages of looking for a home, training sites, etc...(I'll be racing IM OZ). Since there seems to be a lot of aussies on here, thought I would give this a shot. Dealing with everything over the world wide web is a bit daunting so if anyone can just point this yankee into some direction that would be great. Maybe a good site to find a place to live (with good access to training) that would be great. Any advice much appreciated. I'll also be in Byron Bay for 3 weeks so if anyone knows of good place to stay while there, pass it on. Moochas grassy-ass.

Hey Beck, if the mean was directed toward Amanda Beard, I won't lose any sleep And Nicola, being a biologist, I'm inclined to believe there are biological influences. I mean how many times have you watched animal planet and see two male rams or two male elephants battling it out knowing that the female will choose the winner. Rarely do you see it reversed for females. I think you're right by saying that females choose a mate that has the potential to be good provider while males choose, uh, "large mammary glands". If there was no validity to this, how would you explain Donald Trump and his wife?!?! You, Ms. Spirig, going against the "norm" might mean that you are more evolved? You seem to be self-sufficient and don't need any providing for so...or maybe you just have good taste.

Bek, I was reading this story about what the Beijing Olympic athletes found to be sexy. It turns out that the female olympians found the male athletes who won or were at the top of the podiums to be most desirable, regardless if they were not as goodlooking. An example like Michael Phelps was given. On the other hand, the male olympians could care less if a female won medals or finished high in their respective sport, they solely based their attraction on their physical beauty. Case in point, Amanda Beard.

Quoting from the movie the Karate Kid, it's only a matter of time before Beck chimes in now. You can bet she'll know every relevant quote ever made in a teen movie.
Oops, forgot to throw in my quote. I had a coach that always said, "Soreness is weakness leaving the body."

Yo Yo, like I said, just keep an open mind, and follow this forum for awhile. If you do, you would know that Brett has praised some other coaches like Siri Lindley and I think he did say Roch at least didn't make any of his athletes slower or do damage, and I think in Brett's world, that's as big of a compliment as any. I think you alone asking a question of Doc rather than accusing/criticizing him of something shows that you are beginning to have a dialogue and an open mind about this TeamTBB stuff. At the end of the day, we're all entitled to our opinions but let's treat each other with respect.

WishIWasAChampion et. al. appear to be die hard fans of Chrissie and well, like any die hard fan, they have her back. I can tell their responses are inspired from an emotional level. I really like Ms. Wellington as well and had I not read the posts carefully or if I wasn't a faithful follower of this forum, I think I would have a similar response. So, my advice to all those who saw negatives is to re-read the posts and follow this forum for awhile and get to know the Doc and his athletes on here.
I don't always agree with Doc but I have a huge amount of respect for him. In the two years that I've followed this forum, Doc has never deceived anyone as to his true nature. He lays it out there and every person/athlete knows what they are getting into when they decide to work with him. He is not wishy-washy, he does not say things that you want to hear to win you over, in other words, Doc is no traveling snakeoil salesman. The man has his philosophy and he has always stuck to them. And that my friends, are the reasons why I respect Doc. I could never be one of his athletes because I would be the guy trying to make peace at a gunfight, I'm just way too practical to be a TeamTBB member. And that's why I love this team, they aren't practical, they're just hardcore! And so to answer your question, they have my respect.
