Just read the interview!
Great work Jodie & James!
32  General Category / General Discussion / Re: What's a good nick name for our TeamTBBers? on: April 14, 2011, 01:06:26 PM
I was going to suggest the Black Mambo...deadly african snake known for it's land speed.

But looks like you have James pretty much settled with the harte beest.

Maybe getting filmed running and biking then sending that along to Scotty might help too....
Sometimes seeing what you are doing during a workout provides a bit of insight for both athlete and coach.

Chris is a smart and crafty guy...there is a reason other than or in addition to talent that he has gone so far in triathlon.

Here are a few questions for the Jodie's interview with Mr. studly James...
1. IF you weren't a professional model er I mean triathlete, what do you think you'd be doing?  what do you hope to do with your career post-triathlon....many years and Kona wins down the road of course.
2. What is your favorite post-race meal?
3. How much will you "dude" Chrissie by this weekend?

Way to go Dan!  Two wins in one weekend is pretty stellar.  What a great way to kick off your 2011 season.

Well done Brad some impressive results with Scott's help!  Good Luck in IM China!

Not to forget Nicola!  You'll be leading Sara McLarty out of those ITU swims after all the chlorine filled hours you're putting in this month.  Grin

Reading Jodie and Aaron's posts reminds me of that one of the hardest parts of being a pro athlete is keeping a positive attitude in the face of adversity particularly injuries or accidents.  I think both Jodie and Aaron have done a great job of sticking to task and focusing on their swim and bike programs while allowing their broken bit to heal.  In a few weeks, once they are healthy I am sure they will be flying.
40  Talk with our Pro Athletes / Mary Beth Ellis / Re: coaches named Coach. . . . on: March 24, 2011, 03:06:47 AM
It seems like everyone has had a "Coach" somewhere along their athletic career.  Hopefully, it was someone that made an impact into the athlete and more importantly person that each of us turns into.

I thought you were German Xena  Grin
42  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Questions for our 70.3 World Champion Jodie Swallow.......... on: March 23, 2011, 10:35:39 PM
Hmm I can't resist.  Asking a quesiton or two even though I am only down the hall....

What was the toughest race you have ever done be it a swim race, run race, or triathlon and why?

If you weren't a pro triathlete, what do you think you'd be doing?

Where are your favorite racing and training locations? Krabi  Grin?
43  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Macca on Doc's interview on: March 23, 2011, 10:30:39 PM
I definitely admire Macca's approach.  He is such a student of the sport not to mention the top coaches (cough aka Doc) and really analyzes his competition for weaknesses and formulates a race day strategy to win.  Plus he has the guts to go for it in races.  Hope he has some success back racing ITU; I don't envy him those boys are FAST!

Great Interview!!  Grin

I was having balance issues in the water.  But now that Doc has me breathing every 3 strokes I am starting to feel much better.  If you can breathing on both sides may help.
