Hi Bella, After reading every article and ironman book I have become more and more confused what I should be eating to maintian enough energy to train, but to also lose a few pounds before July. Im 5ft 3 and am about 10st a prescent. I am feeling fantastic from my training, but know I would make my job easier not carrying those extra pounds. Any advise would be greatly recieved, anything to point me in the right direction!!- as I feel like I'm going round in circles!!! Great start to the season. You and Stephen are a great inspiration to me and my husband. This will be our first Ironman together but he's a lot quicker than me...least he s first at he bar!!!x

Hi Lolly,

thankyou for your message.

I think if you feel you are training great, you should only try to adjust your weight slightly.  Try not to get too carried away with loosing too much as you may loose strength.

Try to keep a balanced diet, as you need a little of everything so that you stay strong.  I would suggest cutting your portions down.
I would also suggest cutting down on anything sugery,  i.e.  sugery drinks, sugery energy bars (i.e.  use more bananas in training rather than fancy energy bars)
Try to stick to lots of fresh fruits and veg, and steer away slightly from processed foods.  ( a little is ok, but if you have too much of that stuff, it does'nt help you loosing weight)

All the best with your continued training,
Bella
