Oi Jo!

That was a plesant vidéo to watch! Maybe Denis can add in some musik eh?

It makes me think,...That if theres serious people out there filming the races, that it can help catch the drafters who are missed by the draft marshals!

Have you ever tried reffing an Ironman?  It is a cr@p lot harder than you'd think it'd be.

It is impossible to have the whole race covered, so the refs just try and be where they think they have the best chances, usually sitting in on bigger groups.

And remember that they are trying to make a call from a distance back, so that they can sneak up on the drafters and bust them.  And no-one wants to get a call wrong, so they often err on being a bit cautious.

Why can't athletes just be honest and follow the rules?

Have seen no response to my original inquiry from anyone at TIM.  No chance, guys?  If not, how many out there planning to attend IML, and how can we recognize one another?

it would be far easier pro wise
if they new who could ride and who cant
may be a pre  hawaaii   100 km time trial with people leaving every 2 min
then most of the europeans getting hit with cards  would cease
i used to cry every time lother got trucking on the bike
they hit him with a card
then this yr  ronnie sheldrick smacked in the first 40 km as he was cutting thru the mess .

i watched both blokes blow absolute embarressing holes in the guys the usa mags talk up about how good they ride .
reinaldo last year
had a bad swim in clear water
so he was on a mission  caught the first pack after being down  1min or so
bam they card the kid
so
he got off and sat there for 4min
then got back on the bike
all on his own hammered and inside 40 km  he had taken 4 min out of the first drafting pack
soon as he hit em
out come the bike
and pinged him again
after riding 4 min into the lead pack of about 10 guys .
lack of knowledge  of the combatents is the problem .

totally agree doc!

why... hasn't anyone mentioned that at all WTC races, they don not   have professional referees calling the race. they are volunteers, YIKES... yeah, sure Jimmy R is but, that's it, and he's to busy running for major, trying to be everyone's best friend.  i don't know about you, but if i'm a professional athlete making money at the race, there better be a professional referee calling the race. you professionals better start demanding better officiating. as we know Kona proved to be joke and keat has a very good case against WTC as do the other athletes that had so call judgement calls made against them, made by a volunteer.

you don't see roger feder, serna williams or maria sheraporva calling their own lines at wimbledon or the french open. any pro boxers call their own fight, doc? world cup soccer calling their own game... etc etc...

so sad, nothing as been done  Embarrassed
