sugar...yep...coco as lots of good things to say!

but as for your last comment on the legend of the sport not using powermeter. Well, wolfgang, mark, jurgen ended there carreer before the first powermeter (srm) came available widly on the market. It wasnt a tool of there time. And PNF is in the same case as she was pretty much done with her career when powermeter arrived. As for lori...i do beleive i saw a powermeter on her bike once!....she also use computrainer with watts a lot in winter. I lived in the same city and train with her for 2-3 years. But yes...she didnt care much about numbers.... too bad she isnt around anymore.

Really, for each great athlete that dosnt use a powermeter, you will find one that does. Coco dosnt like ipod...but Bek does! etc.... simple choice as there is no good or bad answer...what ever fit you best!

i know doc, doesn't like the disc, but maybe the frame dappens the shock, or that disc is different than the others?

yeah, i wish lori b all the best, she's a nice person. just think if lori and heather furh would of had the opportunity to work with doc or 'if' doc would of taken them on, just how many more world IM titles they would of had.  Smiley  just my opinion  Wink

But I do listen for a music on the run: the acceleartion of my breathing.... Roll Eyes
Can you believe, here in Roth the IPods are allowed on the run course Shocked...I will run them down while they are dancing Grin (I wish...)

Doc's powermeter is simple: MMM (moderate, medium, MAAAAD)  Tongue

Ok, lets make this fun!!!  Yes, Badmans USED a powermeter in training..., Ergomo was one of her sponsor for a few years. Both Lori and Heather were working a lot with computraier and using watts,

You will often see also that girls dont like those things as much as the boys.... TBB girl sure are FAST..and dont use them!

For the boys, it s a bit of a different story compare to girls...

Take top 13 of last year in hawaii, Alexander, Llanos, Beke, Brown, Potts, Schildknecht, Stadler Al sultan, Juhanson, Hecht  all have use one in training or racing.... thats 10/13.

So, on the men field, we are talking almost 80% of the boys using them..... and we arent counting the men leader off the bike, Lieto, Sinballe that also use srm....

yes... all this to say.... pick your weapon... work hard... boyz like toys more than girls!

Simply put! Altough we can never regret some benefits that technology brings to us! Right?!

Rebekah, Brett, would you mind summarizing for us (followers/supporters) what was the run training "secrets" before that 2h55 at Roth? Got amazed with the 10km 39min numbers, kkkkk! Was it expected? What do you believe you have on those legs for the near future?
Seems that this season you're collecting lots of what you planted and altough I do believe that hard and consistent individualized training is key specially when having doc around with all that expertise and experience to listen and share ideas, would really love to hear from you what was the objective secrets/training sessions before that race and what are the plans and expectations for the future!
Keep the good and honest toughts coming, thanks, Marcos!

i answer that as she been sworn to secrecy
discipine you got to get it
patience  you got to have it
consistancy you got to learn it .
bek lacked all three
now we got 2 out of 3
yes that does mean there is more
oh yes .
