Hiya Bella and Stephen,

Well done to you both in Austria. It was a pleasure to race with you both. It was nice to meet you both before the race. We both had such a fantastic experience!! Pete was fantastic. My only regret of the day was not witnessing my husband finish his firist ironman. I was with him in spirit....just five hours behind!!! I saw you on the bike Bella, you looked awsome.

I finished in 14 hrs 02 mins. I wanted 15hrs so was made up. The scary thing is, my memories of the day, it wasnt that hard!! think I must have enjoyed it to much!! Pete qualified for Hawaii but Im afraid our budget doesnt stretch that far this year. He hopes to qualify in 2011 to give us time to save.!! Andy and Deberoah have said they will join us,so we will be there to support you both Im sure.

Just wanted to wish you both well for the weekend. Would be fantastic for you both to win!! You did well with your speech Bella after Austria. You looked nervous but thoses looks to your husband for reasurance made us all feel human!!!

Pete has been in the paper back home and I am so proud of him. Think he is chuffed Stephen thet he was second GB male behind you,but heenjoyed it so much. The car journey back from Austria was Pete and Andy arranging the next ironman 2010!!.....I have to fit some babies in along the way!!!...give me a couple of years and I will be chomping at the bit!!

Anyway

Goog luck, talk soon!!!

Lots of love

Pete and Laura{Lolly} Galpin..xxx

Bella,

Congratulations! Another IM victory - brilliant! Well done to Stephen too, another couple of miles and he would have caught him!

I didn't get to go and watch in Bolton, ended up doing my 2nd triathlon at the London Tri instead. Since I've decided to do IM SA next year I'm building up little bits of experience as I go. I really enjoyed it - although was glad to get out of the water! Total time for my first Olympic distance was 2.45 (32, 1.14, 50) I have no idea if that is any good or not but it felt ok. Just need to push myself on the run. I heard on my second lap that you had won and it did give me a bit of a kick. Very happy for you!

Would really love to hear how your race went - I have heard from others that it was a really tough event. Can't wait for your blog!

Well done again - brilliant stuff.

Hi Girls!

ThankYou for your  messages,

Lolly, very well done to you and Pete with your races at Austria.  I hope you have been continuing to recover well and get into your training again.  Have you any thoughts on when and where you might do your next Ironman?

Emma, well done to you at London Triathlon!  Looks like you had a very good race.  You keep doing what you are doing and Ironman South Africa 2010 can be a really special day for you.
