Motivational sporting movies

HI Guys,
Would like to pick your brains a wee bit. I think you did the inspirational books a while back and my apologies if you did cover movies 
We here in TBB KL are thinking to turn Friday afternoons into motivational Movie Day...we will still be working VERY VERY hard of course but thought it would be cool to have some great classics and not so classic movies running from the afternoon onwards. (I say afternoon only cos thats when I am in the store 
I am starting with Chariots of Fire!!! Yes I like it and it is a movie I just so happened to have on hand.
Million Dollar Baby is another I am lining up.
So any suggestions...what sporting movies inspire and motivate you?

Worlds fastest Indian...with Anthony Hopkins right...yup saw it on a plane somewhere, now I gotta track a copy down? Excellent movie - love it

Yeah that's the one, Indian as in Indian motorcycles not the ones mark allen sees when he's in the energy lab. I watched this movie while staying on a farm and pulled out a paralysis tick outta my head towards end of it, so a movie I won't forget quickly

Miracle and Mighty Ducks (2 great hockey movies), Breaking Away and Hoosiers (basketball movies).

is one of the best movies ever , it captures how most start out ,and takes you thru all the ups and downs
with out the usual hollywood bullshit

I'll have to agree with Stephen, Rocky !! But what makes those movies even better is the story behind it. Basically at the time Sylvester Stallone was a nobody, totally broke, he wrote the movie script but the studio's wanted to just buy it from him, not let him be in the movie. He refused, saying he wanted the main role, they said no way. Blah, blah, blah, he stood his ground, and it made him a superstar. Also first movie to have sequels, first movie to which a soundtrack that was sold as an album. By the way the story about the soundtrack is also interesting....

"Remember the Titans," if you can tolerate Hollywood taking some license with a true story (or Hollywood bullshit, as Doc calls it). Same with "Miracle" or either of the Prefontaine movies.

"Endurance," the documentary about Haile Gebrselassie is strong, too. "The Flying Scotsman," anyone?

the first rocky ,  true brilliance
and as t mac says , the story behind  how he stuck his ground was unbelieveable , he even did soft porn
but he wouldnt take the considerable sums of money offered  for the rights , 5 yr battle .
the 2nd was entertainment plus and was a good hearted laugh
the rest please .
however the star of the show was mickey  hehehe .
most real boxing gyms  have a mickey ,
my guy was hank
ole hank , and he was the cleaner  and assistant to assistant  trainer , but i always when i was fighting for that gym , had ole hank in my corner and the guy i lived with when a kid and my swim team manager

ole hank had 212 pro fights , when men were men , but he was lets say a little punchy .
but i wanted him in my corner , cause he was all heart and all warrior ,
i remember 2 things about  hank one
is when we took him to the rocky film , me and 2 other pro fighters
and when the decision was given  hank exploded and ran down the isle and jumped on to the screen yelling he was robbed , and i can still see the  screen attendants running down with the torches in the blackness of  the theatre ,
and as they did not know what to expect from the little 60 yr old man going bezerk at the front of the theatre ,
they never had a chance ,
so all you could see  was the torches running diaganol to the front then all of a sudden the torch was shining on the roof , then another like a keystone cops movie 10 sec later  then it too shining on the roof , then the third , and that was by the time we got there and carried him out
to the waiting police van .
yes our viewing of rocky was memerable
rocky might have lost a close points decision
but hank was 3 and o   all by way of knock out , he also got 3 months  on each count with an assault with a deadly weapon .
the other
was in a fight i was having  against a guy  who was 10  and o  still remember that pep talk
after being savagely beaten in the first 2 rounds
hank was quite  motivational man

he is too quick to the punch , has too much skill for you , is killing you with both left and right hands , and he is way to strong in the clinches .
so boy its decision time for you , you want to  keep going in their and trying to box him like a girl , he is gonna murder you .
well hank , thank you .

well i have bet your  entire purse on you , if you dont work out away thru this a ....hole we are all going home broke .
