Camp looks really interesting - Are they aimed at different levels and distances? Flights from Oz are pretty cheap to Thailand - looks like a great place to train!

Hi Andy,
Yes there is great flexibility in our innaugral camps. We have some spectacular cycling routes that can be shortened or extended depending upn your fitness and goals. Running close to the awesome Bor Saen villas can be done on short trail circuits or over longer routes including some sojourns into the nearby mountains.
The roads compared to Australia of course are a delight. Sure some of the major highways can be busy, BUT there is no such thing as road rage, there is almost always a cycle / scooter lane and its smooth asphalt with NO glass on the road and this is supposed to be the 3rd world country. Today I even found a great coffee shop that sells tasty espresso's, now we almost have it all.
Singapore Airlines operate great connections thru to Phuket with overnight flights out of Brisbane. If you prefer to mix & match you can find some good deals thru tiger airways also.
Although it can be a little hot here at present, the afternoon rains arrive almost on queue to cool things down and the beauty & luxury of the Bor Saen Villas ensure you almost forget its a tad warm. And lets face it, training is far more motivating when you only need knicks and sleeveless shirt.
Hope you can make it up for a look sometime.
Send me a personal email if you require any further details (scottpenny@teamtbb.com)

Hi Andy

Just to back up what Scott tells you about here, ..it really is worth a trip over sometime!
Some really great roads for riding, ..flat, hilly, rolling, ..what ever you fancy!

Great running trails or quiet roads.

There is a perfect 50m pool, open water right on our doorstep and even the sea not far away too!

Great training for any hot and humid races!!  It is ALWAYS hot and humid here!
But like Scott says, great to relax afterwards at the beautiful Borsaen Villa Resort!

Have a good day!

Not to mention the thai masage and excellent thai curries. all so much cheaper than they are at home, and ten times as tasty......!

seriously, i second everything that the others have said. it really is a great place to train.
fantastic running trails through the forest, a superb 50m pool and quiet and smooth roads, with loads of routes to tickle your cycling fancy......Plus, the accomodation, decent food and warm weather make the pain of training just a little bit more bearable!

Heres hoping that as many age groupers as possible take the opportunity to train here.

Taken me a while, but thought I'd post a message about my experience at Bor Saen. I (plus family) went 2 weekends back for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort is terrific; villas with private pools, spacious, modern and tasteful decor, well designed so it's very private and quiet too. More importantly I had Scott and Brett doing the coaching, in the pool, cycling, running and during dinner, lunch, any opportunity really. 3-5 hrs a day training, swimming technique, cycle set-up including video analysis and of course multiple hours in the saddle, lengths and bricks plus a lot of technique/training discussions. Basically trained with Scott all weekend, terrific coach; chilled and well tuned in, who focuses on personal analysis and genuine, longer term improvements all round. I also swam and had a drink with Brett and all the pros there, seeing and talking to them was a highlight and pretty interesting. The biking around the area is on smooth tar with little traffic and decent hills but nothing like Hong Kong. Make sure you stop at the German guys coffee shop, it's the strongest coffee I’ve every had! Good flat trail running and a terrific 50m pool plus open water swim at resort. I was very impressed, and would through recommend it.

Hi Scott,  I'll try and get a training camp in before Laguna Phuket Triathlon.  I haven't done this event before, can you recommend somewhere to stay there.  I can see there are a number of package deals on the website but you having been there I am sure there are better locations than others and can you recommend one?  Thanks Kristian

Hi Kristian
Scott might be busy with a camp right now since he hasn't answered.
Were you asking about accommodation at the Laguna Phuket tri or at the training camps?

Thanks for caretaking my post Beck !
Just to advise all that I am back in Bor Saen and looking forward to meeting so many of you Asian triathletes from all around the region in the coming months.
We have just completed our first August training camp and it was a great success with those attending taking so much away from their 4 days here. Our second camp begins again in 2 days time and we have another 8 keen triathletes ready to test this magnificent resort and its nearby surrounds.
Couple of points for you all:
Bor Saen Villa & Spa is a 5 star luxury villa resort with scenery you wont believe. You not only get the opportunity to stay and relax here at our special team TBB rates but THEN you can access the awesome network of quiet cycling roads, running trails at your doorstep and a full size olympic pool down the road where you wont see another person.
We have a range of training camps scheduled for the rest of the year - BUT also if the time frame doesnt suit of you you would like to just come and check out our facility, do some of your own training with our advice on where to go, how far etc. you should send me an email now with your enquiry. The options are plentiful !
In just 2 months time we will have our very own 8 lane - 25m pool right here in the resort to compliment our swimming lagoon.
September, October, November are great months to come out for a 4 day weekend or 7 day training camp. You will bump into a host of our team stars and World Champions. You knows some of them may take you out on one of their long bikes or runs Huh
