Wow you got in there quick,  I hope you weren't too quick as I had to make some small edits  Smiley

Yes you should come and visit, there is so much more to Croydon than can fit in a blog  Shocked

I didn't even mention the Whitgift Centre or East Croydon train station.  When you come to visit I can show you these sights  Grin .

Stephen,

They don't sound convinced.

Hit 'em with a few more facts:

That Mc Donalds by the Whitgift was the biggest taking Mc D's in the UK for years...
Croydon has 6 KFCs! (too many fast food references for triathletes??)
Croydon has 3 mainline stations helpfully named...South, East and West.
Croydon had the busiest Woolworths in the UK (until they went bust)
Fiveways at Purley is the WORST junction in the world...

I lived in Wallington for 2 years just after I left uni. The day I moved into my flat the woman over the road murdered her husband. But that can happen anywhere, right?!

I'm from Leeds, Croydon with a different accent? Cheesy

Emma

Croydon is also the recognised home of non surgical beauty treatments. Known as the 'Croydon facelift'.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croydon_facelift

I think they've got trams there too but I might have made that up.

The Croydon face lift is not as violent as the Liverpool kiss!

The Croydon facelift is a very popular hair style around Croydon:)

Oi Bella, you are going to upset lots of people from Croydon  Angry.  You can train in Croydon no problem, we have the Croydon Arena, for a running track and Craystal Place Track not far away too.  Lots of 25m Pools that you can swim in.  And lots and lots of roads!  Oh yeah they are full of cars though Sad

I will have my finger out of where ever it is and will be doing my best to win the World Championships, so as we can have a training camp in Croydon  Grin

Croydon looks ideal for a varied training diet, a different KFC restaurant for breakie, lunch, dinner and snacks  Grin

However you may want to consider Omaha, Nebraska in the USA, home of the KFC Double Down Chicken Sandwich!

Why bother with the bun? That's the premise of KFC's latest offering -- the Double Down -- a sandwich that replaces the traditional bun with two Original Recipe chicken fillets.

"It's such a meaty chicken sandwich, there's no room for a bun," Rick Maynard, KFC spokesman

Oh, too funny. I was just telling James and Reinaldo about a sandwich in the US with no bun, but couldn't remember the name or who made it. Mystery solved now! And in the US they are trying to ban advertising of chocolate to kids, saying it makes them fat.  Huh Good thing this sandwich is not made of chocolate, it must mean it is healthy then.
