OK - so I luv me cycling, but watching Eurosport with the TDF going thru London - the UK commentators are driving me nuts. The pro British rider crap that I hear dribbling out of their mouths, it is jinxing the poor British riders. Come to think of it the golden league athletics is just the same!! Hey I was born in the UK, so I have nothing against the poms. But I have a solution - today I switched the channel to the French coverage, of which I cannot understand a word! Sad really (or embarrassing) since I have a French passport too!! Besides when in the same room watching TV with Belinda, she provides non stop Commentry.

Your right, the best idea is to watch in French, I am hoping that it will improve my French,

I nearly had a proper converstaion today:  Bonjour, Ca Va, then he clearly thought I was floent and I just nodded and smilled as he spoke away in french,  he clearly thought I was floent too.

So in his mind we had a very civilised converstaion in French, although I understood nothing of what he said.

Better get back to the Tour and learn some more french,

I cant forget few years ago, the Lance x Ulrich duel in the mountains, the french TV comentator just couldn´t stop saying:

"Jan Ulrich en difficultê!!"
"Jan Ulrich en difficultê!!" or however it´s the right spelling for "he is getting dropped!"  Grin

Ahhhh, I know Justin, those commentators are SO annoying!
Stephen and I sometimes wander if they are watching the race we are watching!!  And that girl, Emma, argh, she is SO annoying!

And the athletics is just as bad!  Maybe Eurosport has got these commentators mixed up and put them all to the wrong sports to commentate at!!

We will keep the sound muted and our door open so Belinda can do the commentating from next door!   Cheesy

Bella, judging by the thread by Juzzie, (see baked beans) you might need some gas masks handy if you have your door open for Belinda's commentary  Cheesy

Consider yourselves lucky bastards...all of you! You get a choice of languages to watch the TDF....Here in Asia? Nothing!
We do get: Rhytmic (help me on spelling here) Gymnastics; Asian Women's basketball (nothing against women's sports but when there are 15 people in the stands it tells something about the sport's popularity); 2006 indoor athletics; Football replays from 1982 and a lot more stuff I can do without.

Very true Ben - but you know what it is like, there is always something to complain about!

If you need an up date on the tour - maybe how nice some of the pictures from the footage is - just give us a yell and we will fill you in!!

This is NOT good.
This weather is playing havoc with my tv channels.
I have no eurosport, and I can't even find the french channel that broadcasts the tour.
It had to happen today, of all days!  The time trial  Cry
