Doc or Sr members can you help me out?  I searched prior posts and couldn't find much for the 70.3 distance as far as swimming goes.  Can you give me some advice for a good swim workout to add into my 70.3 training.  Monday I did 25m repeats total 3200 meters with some all out 200 efforts and Wed 50 x 50m but Friday I work and only have an hour to swim in the A.M.  Any advice would be helpful.  Thanks

I'd suggest some longer intervals.  4x15min, first 2 swim second 2 pull.

I would say start straight off with 25 minutes all out, hard...think of race day then take a 5 minute rest and throw on some paddles and go straight into 15 minutes--given er' all you got. This type of workout pretty much slaps me in the face (and arms) saying if you can't do the 1.2 miles hard in training---how will you do it racing?! Not my most loved workout but certainly keeps you honest and rearing to go at the start line of a race.

Happy Swimming.

Ummm yes...probably not the best one to give swim advice here but what I do know is how to look good swimming and I'm not talking swim form. I am talking golden tan, right suit for your body type (for me, need low cut to show off the girls), and then of course the right color...that, I'm sure you can imagine, is red. No fashion fouls in the pool please.

I once had a girl in the lane next to me swimming in a string bikini...  Sounds good, but as the saying goes "nice from far, but far from nice".   Huh Angry

She would have been the queen of Wal-Mart (see www.peopleofwalmart.com to get an idea of what I'm talking about)!  Shocked

My entire inspiration for my life is Pamela Anderson so in that case, yes the red, large shouldered big cross back suit is completely 100% stylish and sexy. Bek, you should really brush up on some baywatch before you start throwing ugly comments about my phenomenol suit  Grin

I'm sure Doc'll remember that at one stage those low-top, French-cut costumes qualified as race suits!!  Aah, the good old days...  Tongue

Hey whats this? Now we share workouts eh?

100m
30 sec rest
200m
20 sec rest
300m
15 sec rest
400m
10 sec rest
400m
10 sec rest
300m
15 sec rest
200m
20 sec rest
100m

This is broken race simulation, you start fast as the intervals are shorter and you got more rest. Then you settle in your rythum, less rest and long intervals and then at the end you pick the speed up again.

hey girls settle
let me see ,
i think when bay watch builds those guns , it will look pretty hot ,
carolines  garb ,
if some one said  she could wear that when i saw her 9 months ago , i would have choked .
there is nothing tank about that ,
so that is not sticking ,
we will find the right name , but today looked more like  zena , than tank.
good job caroline .
you made a statement before camp .
i got to be ready  for camp,
not camp will get me ready .
your already getting to pay backs .
now while you girls talk of stylin
what about stephen ,

he wins hands down  , freddie mucury  could wear them budgie smugglers any better than stephen
he got my vote bella has done it again
