here's my recipe for fx bones that heals in 3-5x faster than just eating extra dairy.

mineral silica: take one dosage 3x daily

calcium carbonate: take one dosage 3x daily

it's what pro hockey players do for fx and bone damage.

athlete's should take on dosage daily for prevention

oooh sounds like a witch's broth...

a pinch of this, and a drop of that...

no seriously... thanks for this.  As a doc, i'm particularly bad at taking my own advice.. so good to have the advice of others in the know.

I'm chomping on the minerals as we speak..

and very keen now - NOT to have the planned pinning operation - will update blog with the dramas that unfolded when I was about to hop on the operating table.

Tasmin, loved the recent blog post. You are setting immpossibly high grammatical standards for your fellow team mates  Smiley Smiley

The plate in the photo looks a lot like one side of my Dura Ace Chain. Could that work in a pinch?

Why is it that someone willing to risk life and limb taking the hazardous straight line through eventing tracks; leading the boys down white out black mogul runs on a belly full of red wine; stringing out the peleton up Haytor and descending at breakneck speed round hairpins..dodging the occasional Dartmoor pony or a sheep with a death wish, will sweat and cringe as the knock out comes to take away that overpowering Tami control.
Well at least you can use it as an excuse for swimming being your worst discipline; you`ll just have to cycle harder and run better; but nothing beats first out of the water, does it? Catch me if you can; not catch up.
You like a challenge. I think you`ve made the right choice, but don`t criticise others for running away from the knife.........!

This is what happens when your mother
reads your blog!

FYI - jlewis is my mum.

Oh and didn't have a belly full of wine when
I knocked myself out down a black run mum - just si you
know. Fully compus mentus.

But the gist is right - I am a risk taken. Impulsive
to the extreme at times. But ID like to say now I've reached
the big 30 - my risk taking is more calculated.

Someone once said to me if you live your life on the edge.
you've got to be prepared to fall off sometimes.

mums do that ,
im 50 and she wants to get on a plane to europe for gods sake mum
i am ok ,
but i can tell ,
mum agrees with me ,
forget the knife .
wont effect your swim at all long term .

great things  are mostly done by the risk takers .
once a risk taker hits 30  sometimes
they are more formidable  as they learn risk management skills .
so they live on the edge but with a seat belt of experience .
then  they can consistantly produce the extra ordinary .
