P3C
« on: August 31, 2010, 12:13:00 AM »

Hi Stephen, I was in Embrun last August, ckecked several top triathletes bikes and was surprised at your P3C : you do not use rotor rings, your equipment is a combination of sram force / rival, heavy saddle, don't you think that it sounds a little heavy regarding Zamora or Augueux bikes weight ? also I would like to know what is the size of your P3C, your size in meter and if ever you already done the Embrunman bike in the past with a P2C ? Thanks Stephen, and I hope all the best for you & Bella. Jean-Pierre

Hi Jean-Pierre,

Thank you for your question.  It is possible that a nice light road cervelo may be a better option at Embrunman but having said that,  James Cunama was also on the P3 and he had the fastest bike split and new bike course record so maybe the P3 is the better choice.

The main reason we use the time trial bike and bars,  is because that is the bike that we use every day and at all the other races and so we don't like to change just for 1 race.

My P3 is a 58cm and I am 183cm tall.

All the best
Stephen

Thanks very much Stephen for this quick and clear answer. My wife took few pictures at the last Embrunman, but 2 of them concern your wife at food stand in "Baratier", if I
can send them to you through TBB website do not hesitate.... Just did you ever ride a P2C in Embrun ? JP

The pictures would be great,  yes that would be great if you could send them across.

I haven't ridden the P2 before I'm afarid.  I think the geometry is very similar though.

Unfortunately I have checked on TBB website, it is not possible to send a mail with attached files like the 2 pictures. What I suggest is I leave you my email adress : jp.miguet@wanadoo.fr, and if you want you leave on an email adress (I will respect the privacy of course) to send the 2 pictures. JP

Yeah, but Stephen, that may be because James just hates being dropped, even on a downhill on the P3. Shocked But I will concede that it does prove that the P3 can descend.  Cool
