I know the temptation is to test out your calf and see how it's going, but try and avoid this at all costs.  It's like digging up a tree every couple of days to see if the roots are growing.  Just leave it alone, be patient, and take it slowly, easing into each session and staying under the pain threshold.  "Time heals all wounds."

Thanks for the help there guys.
I got up to 1min jog 1min walk on treadmill  for 20mins (uniform surface and measurable pace to stop getting carried away and also if it all goes wrong I dont have to walk home!)

Biking seems fine. Doing half IM race at weekend - Swim and bike but not running!!!! Going to leave trainers at home so it's an impossibility and all temptation is removed, otherwise you know what would happen - "I'll just jog one lap and see how it is......."
