There is a 5 minute video of the race made by the organizers of de l'Alpe d'Huez.

James and Jodie you were dubbed into French for your brief interview  Tongue

James and Bek, how did you find backing up from Roth???  I've entered Roth 2011, and traveling from Aus (Brissie) I may extend my stay and back up at Alpe d'Heuz as it looks like a cracker of a race, and there is an extra week between them next year.

I don't plan to ride 300km to get to l'Alpe, but that sounds like an adventure   Grin

Heya!

Glad they dubbed me in French - it means you couldn't really tell what I was saying - those darn post-race interviews always catch you at the worst time - immediately past-race (go figure!)  Wink

Backing up from Roth was no prob at all - as evidenced by my result! Obviously we train for this kind of demand, but provided you handle the days/weeks between properly (and that doesn't mean sleep as much as possible, contrary to popular belief) then you can get the most out of both events - perhaps you should ask Sugar - he got a taste of what it is like to back up races in the last few weeks... If you can fit it in your plans though, don't miss this race - a must-do for all triathletes!

More about the 300km 'adventure' to and from Alpe in my blog soon - just as soon as Doc stops flogging me long enough to type it...

Hey Scotty, doing great thanks Smiley  Had a few podiums (age group) at some nice races such as Vineman 70.3 since my St George fiasco.

Now I need to do it at IM Moooooooooooooo next month !

Glad to see you had a good race, and enjoyed your training rides Wink

Maybe you could talk me into joining you next year for the 300km (if I was allowed)  Wink

Thanks James, backing up works very well for me Smiley

If we (Mrs Pantani and I) can get the time away from the office to stay long enough it's a go'er. Love to race up l'Alpe  Grin
