Hi Mat,Re your set up of drop bars on your P4.Want to do same as dont like tri set up bars but feel I shouldn't cos no one does.I can understand its easy to race on with clip ons  but could I train and get in some miles like it , perhaps sit up on them Sunday rides.I basically want one bike in my garage to do it all on,not only jump on me P4 a few times a year.THANKS

Hey Frosty thanx for your question!

I have had some comments made by tri-geeks about my time trial bike with drops/clip ons, but they are all transparent, mostly about aerodynamics and weight.

Being comfortable on your bike, is much more important. Especially if your gonna jump in some sunday group rides or be climbing/descending some serious hills.

Here are two best clip on bars I have used, and both former or current TBB sponsors:

http://www.hedcycling.com/aerobars/clip_lite.asp

The key to these clip ons, is that you can flap up the the bar pads horizontally,
for when your going up up up or just ridding easy, and have your hands close to your stem!

I think people place too much emphasis on aerodynamics, at the sake of comfort and safety.  Yes, aero is important, but it is more important to be happy with your setup, to allow you to go as fast as possible.
