Did my first triathlon this morning, a mere sprint in the rain. Tides were so low, that in the Olympic distance, it seemed like they walked as much as they swam. 4th in my AG, 55-59

I'm hooked! Team TBB is inspirational, in particular to me, my fellow Canadians, Wongstar and Erica, and of course your Coach.

Oh and Jocelyn, I drive a Honda Fit as well  Smiley Smiley

Congratulations CV, great work......to come 4th in your AG in your first tri is pretty awesome!!!

As a slight aside, I'm curious how someone can post well over 100 times on this site without having completed a tri before.....I was just wondering what drew you to the site in the first place.

Do you work for Cervelo or something got sucked in through the team sponsorship? If so it was well worth it I think.

Congrats again.....just get signed up for that second race now   Wink

Well, if there had been a triathlon that had a 50 meter swim, 200K bike and 500 meter run, I would have been right on it, since 50 meters was the farthest I could swim a year ago. Also, various injuries from bike crashes etc messed up training. My Coach likes TBB philosophy, so first year is building the base.

Thanks Jocelyn, was able to swim the whole way. The Olympic distance people had a LOT of walking. The woman who won (asian superstar) had bad cuts on her feet from the rocks and crashed her bike as well. Yep, they make 'em tough here in Canada too  Smiley Smiley

oh, you mean Martina!  how cool, she definitely has more fast-twitch muscle fibers than I do.  Cheesy  yeah, thanks for tipping me off about her, we connected on FB and got to compare notes on Asian moms of Asian triathlon superstars...  Roll Eyes
