i would like all readers , to read neil catills blog , as it high lights a great gesture , by one of our team bek keat and her friend and european champion , nicola spirig
who privided the funds , to build a proper fresh water facility for a school .
the story unfolded , when i visited an island in sth phillipines to look over the bsi triathlon program .
while visiting the area , we visited a childrens school built on donations for the local underpriveledged kids be tween 5 to 10 who do not qualify for the local school .
on visitng , it was obvious that the kids loved their school , and teachers , but one of the enduring problems was fresh water as , all types of pumping mechanics , either didnt work or dissapeared very quickly ,
living in the country areas of australia , presented coach with the ideal solution , a gravity fed water catchment tank , it bothered me for the rest of the afternoon ,

i emailed 2 of our squad about the predicament and that , the founder of the bsi , could oversee the work would get done .
with in a week nicola and bek teamed up with a cash donation , and 30 kids now have clean running water in their little school ,
id like to publically thank them for the genorosity , in both spirit and donation .
you have indeed made a very positive contribution to some not so fortunate children
thank you so much for your help .

Happy we could help a little bit, it's great to read that the school has fresh water now! But it was most of all doc who had helped, not Bek and me.

Great and generous efforts on your part. I am a Filipino and read Neil Catiil's blog about your recent generosity. Thank you.

thank you deop ,
its a very small  help but was very effective in helping some very deserving children ,
seeing them , coming to school and proud in trying to dress up , is a stark contrast to the kids i see in swiss , trying to look  crap , for the sake of it .
so they deserve the water to help them enjoy their school experince even more .

I hope some of our government officials should take example on what you did.

Kudos to you and your team!

TBB - making a BIG difference.

(I know what you mean about about uniform Doc. Same in the UK. Interestingly when a new headteacher gets shipped in here to 'turn around a failing school' they tend to go back to the old blazer, shirt and tie)
