Whats the teams opinion on adopting a run walk strategy for an Ironman marathon?

Hey Paddy its a good option for an age grouper.
Especially if doing a hot race where walking the aid stations.
Will ensure you get in your fuel inside properly.

The trick is to start doing it from the start of the run.
Versus only doing it when your tired.
And then, if you try to keep running near the end, while others start to walk.
Will make a real difference in your performance/confidence  Cheesy

And of course practice the run/walk if you plan to use it....Walking fast is not easy.
