Well, doc pretty much said it!  Want to get him on the board, post about music.

I understand the special place in his heart for ACDC since they are from AUS, but the do rock better than VanHalen or VanHagar...you'll have to look for that one Jodie, but it's the same band just a slang name for them.

And, they certainly aren't as good as Aerosmith.  Stephen Tyler recently did a great job on American Idol over here being one of the judges.

Joe Cocker for running?  Personally I don't think so.  What's wrong with Chris Rea.  I mean he did sing at least one good song...don't know if it's run worthy or not...

...Warm winds blowing
Heating blue sky
And a road that goes on forever

I'm going to Texas....

Ok, showing my age now! Saw ACDC headline Donnington 'Monster of Rock' Festival in 1984! (now called Download festival I think).
They headlined complete with stage cannons etc & Angus doing his pre-gig running around the stage, playing a riff then dissapearing until the spotlights picked him up again - all to chants of 'Angus, Angus' from 60,000 fans - pretty cool.
2nd on the bill was Van Halen, the old 'pre Hagar' line-up Lee-Roth, year of their 1984 album with 'Jump' etc.
3rd on the bill was Ozzy.
Rest included solo set by Gary Moore (RIP) & show opened at 1pm by some glam-rock band called Motley Cru - they got bottled off I recall.........

Hey Doc, this is all you need:

ACDC "Back in Black" is still a staple on my iPod. It reminds me of big swimming meets when we would march out for finals to that song or something similar. Goosebumps

I would bet that very few would know the difference btw Bon Scott and Brian Johnson and the 2 distinct eras of the band. They were just that good regardless of who the front man was. (Bon Scott was better)

Can't say the same for van halen. Sammy Hagar was good with them, but he was no david lee Roth.

well plenty people know in the team tbb group that  im a ac /dc origional fan , i first watched them before bon scott and they had a guy who wanted to be like david lee roth
but the young brothers sacked him and said we just want to be hard graft rock band no poofter gimmics no glam just here it is , take it or leave it but no hard rock then syrypy ballads for singles and there they were true to the word
they pissed him off got bon  and said lets rock the world like we do in the star hotel pub .
and they did that too .
but  i was sort of one of the few  , that when bon died  , got miffed they went on, not strait away
but  with in 6 weeks had a new album out and those that were connesuers of bons
toilet poetry ,
to be told  the lyrics on back in black  was written by brian johnson  just beggered belief

then next 5 album s proved  they had lost the real lyrics writer , but in fairness
a couple of ripping albums if you didnt listen to lyrics  so malcom young came back strong after he left the band for a while to get cleaned up

so  i never taken to them after the back in black album which im sure was written mostly by    da man
bon scott
