well long time no see been out of action with 2 knee ops look like i can get back to training looking for some hints on how to get started looking for some one who will coach a 52 yrs young aussi living in copenhagen knees dont like running but biking ok

Hey terrence I been working with an athlete of simular circumstance as yours.
Only one knee though and 1 age group bellow yours.
Best to focus on the right parameters and forget about others...
After some trial/error, she came back stronger than before!
This is how we did it:
Most of her overall conditioning came from solid swim training.
Strenght/stamina training was done on the bike and made sure to never go to low of RPM.
Running was tricky.
The most intensity came from negative split, to make sure the knee was nice and loose.
Virtually no stop and go running.
Plenty of gradient treadmill sets because you get the uphills but no downhills =)
Also another key was to often run after a bike ride or after swim.
Since opening/loosening the knee was always better before running.
A positive attitude is also very crutial.
Especially since it will probably be a bumpy road back up...

Awesome mate sounds good!We were hoping to go swimming at a pool thursday morning around 8am before press conference at 12pm?Do you know how far the nearest swimming pool is?
