Going to really miss her posts. Too bad you cannot make a "good" living at this sport just being a pro. Really cool to have her inspiration in the USA! I wish her the best of luck and if she returns, all the better.

nice she has another job to go to not all pro triathletes have that choice .LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE JOBS THEY HATE BUT BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE CANT SAY I AM BURNED OUT . I NEVER HEARD MY DAD SAY HE WAS BURNED OUT WHEN HE WORKED 12 HRS A DAY IF YOU GET ONE CHANCE TO LIVE YOUR DREAM DONT WAIST IT .

I am not going to jump on the bandwagon and Monday morning quarterback why she is retiring. To many have done that And i dont think any one else should either quite honestly.
It was fun to watch her grow and improve. I watched her race in florida the day she earned her pro card. She was determined and driven. She went after it and achieved so much. She proved that will vs skill will get you there. She was an inspiration to many age groupers showing that hard work pays off and short cuts dont. She has the right to choose her next path.
Best of luck to you Wongstar!

wongstar ,
used her triathlon journey to find out who she was , it enhanced her life , there was no more to be gained , she used triathlon to find her happy place .
she has found it , and now following the common sence approach ,
triathlon is an amatuer sport for all but the very very top , one thing wongstar never revealed ,was stupidness .
she reached the best she could be , knows full well , a life on other peoples floors while saying im a pro , is not for her .
good call girl , you still are an insperation for the intelligent .
