Not strange to race midweek, it's great Smiley you can book the cheapest flights from Sunday to Sunday, means you have three days of partying after the race with all the athletes, for a lot of them the end of the season, hihi Grin

Oh, of course!  Silly me...you short-coursers are huge party animals, aren't you?  Cool

I bet you had a pretty good party after Hawaii as well Wink but yes, that's why we do short course, to still be able to walk around in the evening without pain everywhere... Roll Eyes

funny you should mention that , nicola!! well it seems that all members of tbb--except for one--rededicated their efforts on sunday to a new focus: the post-race party....a.k.a. IRONMAN PROM. that's our new name for it, since we realized that this is the one social event that we anticipate all year long, much like we would the prom in high school...however, it seems that one of our teammates was conspicuously absent and sorely missed!  Embarrassed

HAS ANYONE FOUND AJ's RESULTS YET??

I know I know....much to my own disappointment, I bypassed the Ironman Prom.  Ingesting large amounts of alcohol and spending all night on the dance floor with feet the size of an elephant's, seemed like the most unappealing thing to me at the time  Huh
And thanks to the combined effect of dehydration, sleep deprivation, and jetlag....I had a three day hangover when I arrived home.  Does that count?
AJ placed sixth.  It's on the tri.org website.  He had a great ride and run, but looked like he was playing a little bit of catch up after the swim.  But I guess we should wait until we hear about it from AJ himself.
