Hey Jocelyn
I know you're doing IM China next week, I was just wondering how your build up is going?
This will be your first IM since starting with Team TBB, right?  And your first time travelling overseas for a race?
Well, I hope you're feeling good, and getting ready to roll.  Are you on the P2C?

hi Becks!!   Cheesy

yup first IM as a TBB girl.
first time overseas.
first race on Blue Steel (my super hunky P2C).
first IM in the PRO division!!

lots to be excited about but the doc says no being excited, it's CONTROLLED AGGRESSION.
then after the race I can get excited hanging out with hot pro boys at the after party.   Grin

anyway the build-up has been great, I haven't done an Ironman so early in the season before so am probably in the best shape I've ever been in for April if not EVER!  Feeling strong, the only set-back has been catching a minor cold last weekend.  Still coughing a little but the doc (the real doc not the Boss doc) says I just need to keep coughing the phlegm up.  tasty.   Tongue

looking forward to a massive PR!  hoooooray.  and I want to see if I am an extra tall Chinese girl out there, because even in America I'm a really tall Chinese girl.  hehe

Good luck in China. BTW how tall are you? In Indonesia in my husbands village I'm usually the tallest, very sad cause im only 5'6. But there is woman whom I see sometimes and I swear she is over 6 foot! She really stands out against her friends  and relatives who are about 5' nothing.

I was once measured as 5'9" so that is what I consider my "official" height.   Grin
but shhh recently I am really measured as 5'8.5".  Angry

I am the tallest woman in my entire extended family.  my mom is only 5 feet tall, my dad is like 5'5" and my older sister is 5'4".  my little brother is 5'11"ish and he's the tallest guy in our family.  I have a girl cousin who is only an inch shorter than me, but all the other girls are much shorter, and my uncles are all shorter than me.

it will be funny, I don't feel like I'm *that* tall, always thought of myself as "tall for a Chinese girl" though.  I want to go to Yao Ming's village, I hear the girls there are like 6'7", or at least his mom is!!

I know, I didn't think that Chinese people came in that size.

his mom and dad were both on the national basketball team and supposedly his mom is like 6'7".  I think Yao Ming is 7'8"?  I don't know ANY Asian women that are 6 feet or taller, never mind 6'7"!!!
