Ni How  Grin (sorry don't know proper sp) Been keeping an eye out for a new blog since Tokyo, but alas, me and all your blog fans will have have to wait for the latest adventure, as I imagine you are very busy with your prepartions. How exciting this must be for, your Pro debut in China, as the cover story said, it must be destiny!!!!

Oops, just saw that youhad posted a blog, that will teach me to check first!!  Grin About your number, I thought being of Chinese descent you'd be a believer in numerology. You are #19, yes? 1+9=10, top ten finish, yes maybe, esp since 1+0=1 your first Ironman pro race!!!!! Do the numbers lie??? We shall see this weekend. Goodluck

Ni Hao (is that right?  I did mandarin in grade eight, but can't remember much at all  Sad)
Good luck Jocelyn!  Yep, the numbers never lie.  I hope you have a great first pro race experience.  It sounds as though you've trained your butt off, so the miles are in the bank (and the legs).

Yeah...Good luck - but you won't need it (luck that is).  You'll do great!  I'm also really looking forward to your next blog entry...really anxious to hear all about your first pro race experience.

Race hard!

hey all i am at the Hong Kong airport right now waiting for my next flight back to SF.  hopefully I can just sleep the whole way, it is Wednesday at 11am right now and then I will travel back in time and get home right before 9am Wednesday morning.

completely sunburnt, blistered, and sore and I feel like I've been HAZED to join the pro ironman club.  I was never in a frat or sorority but I would think this hazing has got to be worse!   Tongue  the good news is that after vomiting for 4 hrs in the med tent my stomach cleared out and I have gone to eating normal--starving all the time  Cheesy

thanks for all your support I will post a proper report once I get back in, at the moment glad to have gotten it done and finish 9th for the pro women even if I didn't show up in the top 10 overall!  a wonderful experience (now that I am DONE!) albeit hellacious.   Angry

Wow, Jocelyn, that sounds like a nightmare.  4 hrs of vomiting  Sad.  I'm glad that you're ok now.
Good on you for starting what you finished.  You're an inspiration.
Can't wait to read the blog.
Apart from the hellish hazing incident, I hope the trip to China was fun.

whew!  back in the states and sitting in the office after that plane trip.  If I got through customs a bit faster, I would be in the operating room watching a surgery but ugh, it took forever.  oh well, maybe I would pass out in the OR from being tired and jet lagged.  Chris was right, he said that once I step back in my home country I would just think, "ahhh" big sigh of relief.  now people can stop talking to me in dialects of Chinese I don't understand.

yes, Donna thinks I am a total slob and thought all my stuff would never go back into the 3 pieces of luggage I brought  Grin

and I wouldn't say I was washing the porcelain...more like admiring the shrubbery.  which makes me think more of the Monty Python movie.  haha
