At Ironman Florida 2006, a very very sad thing happened.
During the swim, Barney Rice, one of the competitors had problems during the swim. 2 days later, Stephen and I heard that he died. It really shook me. It was such a very sad thing to happen.
We have just been leant a copy of this months Triathlete magazine and found an article about Barney and a new Memorial Fund which has been set up.
Barney left behind his wife and 3 young sons.
