well after the birthday bash ,
it was asked by one of our fellow posters , how many 100S it would take to shut , belinda grainger up
the protocal was put in place ,
we had a team of test bunnies , the tree hugger , the buscuit of course ,her birthday , the magician come along , miss coco  arrived , with the hungarian muffins , and donna .
so plenty to talk to
now
we put em all in one lane , then told them ,the boys were doing an easy session , just so we got the right temperature ,
and away  they went ,
after 3 i thought , we have cracked it , because belinda , stood up and looked like how in the "....."
am i going to do 100 of these .
so i was extremely excited about the initial findings , 10 and she was silent .
arh  we got her, but then
as i banged away on my computor , the  chatter started , to my dismay  the ammount and the volume got louder as it went on .
the conclusion of  the experiment , as soon as it was finnished , belinda  was firing like she hadnt done anything at all .
it was exceptional , so  100 dont stop it .
and to be honest , i think 200 wouldnt either .
as an old gambler i learnt well , when to hold em  but  more important when to fold them .
and i am folding them here , she is a deadset champion ,
so , word of warning if any you people out there go for a run with belinda and she says what pace ?
dont you dare use , the old adage "talk pace ", will be fine .
cause mrs grainger , will have you running sub 3hr marathon pace , and be deafening your ear at the same time .
good job the chicks ,
dont worry , the boys will get theirs too , you can bet on that Wink

Ahhhrrrr Doc- I must admit I thought for the first 10x100's that I too had finally met my match and that I may just have to keep my mouth shut to conserve oxygen to get through this massive session. But, fret not, after 20 I started to think 'well this really ain't so bad and if I actually pick them up a bit I can get a quick conversation in with my bestest triaining buddies'. Soon everybody caught on and we were able to get bits and pieces of converstaion in between 100's. Mind you, I was super impressed with Hillary doing the last 60 of them using band only!!! But as I sit back here in my little apartment in the clouds after completing a 10km swim session and a 2hr SE session on the bike, I am eating the yummiest Hungarian muffins ever (thankyou Miss Coco)- I am pretty content with everything at the moment- life is pretty good! The ironchicks ate the birthday set for breakfast!! Thanks, girls, for attending my special morning-after party. I was so impressed with all of you this morning. Of course I ought to have no dramas with this set since I spent the better part of my youth swimming 14km per day; but I know some of our girls just far exceeded their biggest swim day--and as doc reported, were completely unfazed. Way to go, ladies!

I know the boys were jealous this morning--pretty sure it was a tear I saw in Big Sexy's eye as they got out of the pool when we weren't even halfway done...

I am most eagerly anticipating the ITU version of the set with Nic and Big O very soon...Yes, girls, doc informed me this morning that we'll have the opportunity to do the set--on descending intervals this time--sometime in the very near future. I am already getting a bit of separation anxiety thinking about my swim buddies being away for a month at the Olympics, so I am happy to hear that we'll have an opportunity for some extra quality time together before you go...In fact, I think we must make sure that Lukie times his visit to Leysin with this set. It just wouldn't be right if we didn't get to pull him through 99x100 and then have him sprint around on the 100th repeat!:) It could be just like old times in Subic...

By far the longest session i have ever done.......my fingers were like a prune, but i love prunes so thats OK!

I am a bit dissappointed that Biscay Birthday Bird didnt bring her 'Toy Boy' though. All us girls were very curious to know how big he would grow...Smiley

Gives us something to look forward to on Monday's teeny weeny 5km session i guess!

Hillary would do it band only - and win. Or maybe Big O should have a go - a bit of practice for going long!

My cool down was walking home for breakfast. I had to make sure I still had some arm strength to lift my cereal spoon to my mouth. Smiley

I guess I have to think about if I really want to go up to Leysin tomorrow again and join that crazy squad... Embarrassed Hillary, I like you, I like to watch U23 World's with you ( Wink) or to have such an animated discussion with you that I spread corn flakes on Belindas apartment floor ( Roll Eyes), but I am not really looking forward to do 100*100m with you  Sad doc, if I tell you for sure that I will shut up after two of them, can we leave this experiment? Please Huh

Heya Holly- would have loved to have you there- another great chick for me to have a chat with between 100's!! Yes I agree Donna- when is his B'day?Huh Surely we could all come up with a wonderful day (better still- weekend) of celebrations!!!
Lets say we start with a set of 200's on track with Nicola, some hill repeats on the bike with Chrissie, some band-only swim sets with hillary, and oh yes- an afternoon of chatting with me!!!Ha

Sorry guys.....you all just missed his b'day.
It was a few weeks back before everyone started to arrive in Leysin.  There were no special birthday sessions, just the cake after swim practice!  Tongue
