Campagnolo and teamTBB

 


Vicenza, Italy: September 20, 2011

Campagnolo signs sponsorship deal with world-leading Ironman specialist teamTBB; also to participate in holding company TBB’s social programs to benefit youth in diverse countries.

Campagnolo has signed a worldwide sponsor partnership with teamTBB.

Singapore-based teamTBB is a major player in professional triathlon, representing and managing 20 athletes of 10 nationalities. It is also committed to social programs for young people in countries as diverse as Brazil, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.

Campagnolo will become teamTBB’s official drivetrain and wheel supplier.  

“It’s great to be able to participate with teamTBB,” said Campagnolo Marketing and Communication Director Lorenzo Taxis. “The work Alex Bok and his staff are doing to promote cycling awareness and sport in Asia and around the world is inspirational and we are excited to provide them with the highest level cycling technology available.”

teamTBB’s 2011 calendar comprises 200 races in 5 continents. Ironman is the team’s main focus – it takes part in 4 out of 5 of the world’s full Ironman, and 2 in 5 of half-Ironman events. Since the inception of the team back in 2007, it has garnered 4 World Championship wins (IM Hawaii 2007, 2008 and ITU Long Distance 2007, 2010), 34 Ironman wins, 20 Ironman 70.3 wins, 7 Challenge wins and 50 other International wins.  

Among its top athletes are Caroline Steffen (GER), Jodie Swallow (GBR), Amy Marsh (USA), Mary Beth Ellis (USA), Rebekah Keat (AUS), James Cunnama (RSA) and Aaron Farlow (AUS).
