Hello everyone……..!!!!
here i am, again, after a long time missing around Brazil ….. writing my blog of my 70.3 in Penha….!!!!
Well, i have been very busy, since i came from China…i have been training and racing…..and of course, enjoying been with family and friends…
But let´s talk about THE RACE i have done last sunday, where i felt like a real IRONWOMAN…
Nobody was believing that Mariana Ohata would be doing a 70.3, specially after the olympic games, but i was there ready to deal with it and wondering how would it be…….
It was so could in Penha, that i had to buy gloves, and really nice jackets…but i was so happy to be there enjoyng the feeling of doing something really diferent and my parents were there with me so i was happy to have their suport as well…..
I had no idea how to start the race, but like boss said it was just like an olympic distance race, so that´s how i started on sunday.
It was UNBELIAVABLE because when i woke up at 5 am on sunday, the sun was shining and i thought it would be a perfect day….so i went to the race place and checked everything i was supose too, and to be honest i was very lost with all the bags we had to carry…a bag for swinming, a bag for bike, a bag for run……Jessssuuusssss……!!!! But fortunatelly i had a lots of help from others competitors who explained to me what to do with each one….
the sun was really shining when the race started, and i had a very good swiming, because it was just as fast as it is in an olympic race, and the good thing is that i could do my swimming behind good swimmers boys……after, i had to run and cacht my second bag to start the bike…..so it was awesome, going into a tent and changing clothes, and having someone to help you……hehehe…..i was 2 minutes in front of the others girls….a good advantage to start my 95km . Yes, it wasn´t 90km, but 95km…
I started very carefull, because i knew it would be a long course to go….but i was feeling very strong on the bike….and i was just going faster and faster, and the last thing i knew i was 4 minutes in front of all the others girls…..
I couldn´t believe i was riding that fast…..i tried to eat and drink the right way to be strong for the run….and everything just worked really fine for me…..
For the T2, i had to cacht my third bag, and again, someone was helping me to put my shoes on and take my helmet off……we had to run almost 2km inside the Beto Carrero World Park, it was fun, because everybody was shouting and cheering….and this just made me feel very strong……
I started runing good and fast, and i was only thinking of keeping the distance between me and the second girl…..well, but after 15km, i started feeling very tired and dead….,but i thought to myself, now i will have to be the real ironwoman and finish this race in first place….
the second girl was runing very good and our diference was getting smaller….but i knew i could keep my pace for the last 5km…..but, when i was supose to go inside the park to run my last half km to the finish line, the staff who was with me, did the wrong way, so i didn´t go into the park and everybody started yelling at me saying i was wrong and i had to go all the way back……when i realized Vanessa was almost catching me……so i said, no way she is going to beat me here, so i run as fast as i could to crosss the finish line…..ON FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!
And i did it….i was exausted, and criyng a lot because i couldn´t believe after all i was going trought God made me won the race and having friends and my parents there was just unbeliavable!!!!!!
Very happy and very exausted……that´s how i was after the race….this week i got sick…..fever, flu, sorenesss, but i kept the easy training to get better and start getting strong because in November i will be Florida, racing with the real ironwomen, and i can´t wait to be there……with my friends!!!!
And yes, i will be number 55 on Ironman Florianopolis next year………uhuhhhhh…….are you happy Dear Bosss!!!!!!!

Oh yes….
have you noticed…..today is the 8th of August (month 08) of 2008…..and the beggining of the Olympic dance!!!!
As the Boss said…..”we get ready for the big dance, at the biggest monster´s ball of them all”…….
that´s right…..we´ve became monsters…each one with your particularly weapon…but we are the monster´s team now…..how could we not be????
we´ve been doing our work as the boss says, and having, at the same time, the pleasure and fun to be working as soldiers preparing ourselves for the war….things are going sooo fantastic and, yes, the boss is very happy and sexy too ( with his pork diet)…..i can tell you all!!!!
i am just writing to say, that it´s been so amazing alll these days here Jeju, in Switzerland, in Subic…. training, feeling my hams, going all the way uuuuuppppp the hillsss, meeting wonderful team mates, having fun everyday,….. but now Boss is going back to the Iron monster´s because it´s their turne, and i am sure they will do the best, kicking some assessssss…..and we are just getting ready to dance too!!!!
so, go wacth the beginning of the biggest party and them cheerrr for us……but before alll, thank you everybody for such a great, great, great time….. we will be there doing our best, and fight with all we have……that´s why we are part of the monster team….we know how to training and have fun, we have the best (but crazy) boss and we respect each other…..and this is what we will take for our lives after alll, the biggest friendships we´ve got while “working”!!!!!

Oh, well, that´s the world (from Cali´s vocabulary) that most describes everything we´ve been trought this last 2 weeks…..just UNBELIAVABLE!!!!!
The olympic team, wich means, us….me, Nic, Rei, Reto and Liz,…..are training here in Jeju, a wonderful and unbeliavable island, whith unbeliavable weather (hot and humidy), unbeliavable rodes to ride, unbeliavable 50mt swiming pool, unbeliavable track and run machines, unbeliavable place to stay, unbeliavable beaches and of course unbeliavable training sessions……..
I don´t need to say as well, how unbeliavable are the hills the Boss could find here for me to go up, and up, and up…….and all the unbeliavable loops he did find for our time trails sessions…..
heheheheh….
We´ve been training very good, and also, starting feling the Olympic air, as all the teams from other countries are getting here …..we are having such a great time together and everything is just so fun and UNBELIAVABLE….including the diet our coaches are doing,……eating PORK MEAT EVERYDAY…….!!!!!!!
So, we miss everybody…and hope all the squad is just fine, training and racing good…..
The opening Ceremony will be held on saturday the 8th, but we are leaving to Beijing only on the 15th, so, we still going to join the unbeliavable island of Jeju for more few days!!!!!

Well….I am back……!!!! After a long, long time, with NO BLOGS… here i am…and i bet you miss me a lot…hehehehe….
first, i need to apologize…for being away…sorry, sorry, sorry…..but after coming back from the Philipines, my life just went crazy…i even became an IRONGIRL, didn´t i Dear Boss????
I went back to my home in Brasilia, after qualifying to Beijing……i visited my parents, met my friends, i did a good race, i had a busy time with the press and also got the news that my sister is pregnant…..isn´t that so coolllll…yes, i will have to accept the fact that, my little sister is having a baby…before me….but ok….i don´t care….i will have my baby after a few irons…..hehehe….
So, after an amazing month here up in Leysin……this wekend couldn´t be better……yes, i did my samba…..in front of alll the hungary crazy crowd….but i was so pleased of doing it that i just went up to the stage and felt home…..
It was awesome being training with the squad here in Leysin, even doing my worst ride when i got here, even feling all my injuries…even starting training with the strongest irongirls of this world, yes, i loved it….it just worth every single minute i was here……because it´s just so fun and so important being with people who can always add to your life…..
The twins samba (me and Rei) went to the small town Tsajuvauros or whatever it calls…and i wasn´t expecting any good results, because of my injurie, the feling of being tired, because of this iron subject…but i was confident of trying to do my best…..and it happended…..
I had a good swin….specially because it was in a lake, so it was harder…..! I went off the swin in third place, so i got my bike and just went for it…i did the best i could, riding as fast and strong as i could, and after rearing we were almost 4 minutes in front of the second pack, i just thought to myself “i´ve got nothing to lose!” so i rode stronger to have a nice run…..and the thing is….i wasn´t training anything fast for my run, but i started running veryyyyyyy fastttttttt…….and it was good, because i could keep my pace and, yes, i was fourth, but on the 5 km, sarah just couldn´t go faster, and guess what, i could!!!!!
Being in the podium, after all these days fighting with my head and trying to be confident to my third olympics was just so amazing…and proved to me what the Boss says to me everyday…..each one has it own way of training!!!!!
Well,the wekend was awesome for all the squad, and i want to say CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY who raced!
and now, say GOOD LUCK to my neighborrssssss…..they will be racing Austria…..
I have to start packing, because on sunday we will be going to our final preparation to Beijing…..so talk to you later!!!!!

Hello, hello, helloooooo!!!!
It´s just a pleasure to be here back in Brazil at 4am (because i still on the Philipines, South Africa, Korea or whatever time) writing my FIRST BLOG !!!!!!!!!!
I am so excitated to start telling you from now on, all about my races, my adventures around the world, the trainings, the feelings, the places, and the best of all…being a teamtbb member!!!!
Well, I could stay all day or all night long writing a lots of things…i just came back from the best camping i have ever made, with the best people i´ve ever met,with the craziest coach in the world (but i still love him) but, no, no…..i will do it one step at a time…so you people can come and always visit my blog and the website,…hehehehehe!!!!!
I just want to say thanks for those who gave me this oportunity not only for being part of this, but for making me realized that I still have a lot to do in triathlon (i didn´t mean an ironman!!!!) and still have so much fun……
