Passes - Chiemsee victory - Passes

My youth dream was to cycle real Alp passes while I discovered my passion for cycling. The last weeks I was allowed to live this dream almost every day thanks to our friends Oli and Viola. Albula – Julier – Flüela – Maloja – Bernina = 30kms climbs, gorgeous landscapes, here and there a bit of sun, warm clothes and after 190kms and 4000m of altitude you know what you have done! But not only cycling is a dream here, although running is beautiful in the valleys or up to the top of a mountain and the swimming at an altitude of 1800m takes you the breath. The only downer is the weather. Sadly I can’t follow the Engadin slogan of 320 sun dyas per year. Probably we picked out the 45 days where it is not dry up here;-) Besides the hard training I was allowed to let my spirits flow: Marmot “hunt” with a camera, following Nietzsche in Sils Maria, delicious fondue and Spa in Scuol. My stay in this “bracing climate” was a short brake to the Bavarian Sea: Chiemsee where I was able to push the pedals hard. My coach Jo and I saw that I’m back on track. Chiemsee is one of the nicest races I know, even when it’s raining;-)! During this race I wore our new teamTBB race kit and it’s the best one I’ve had till date because it was a new comfort on my saddle which I’ve never had before. From now on I have less than 2 weeks to my next race: Challenge Roth and the last hard sessions are on the schedule. Looking forward to the upcoming races!
