Next race in the dutch triathlon competition is finally a "real race" and not a wet run as Brett Sutton calls it.
An Olympic Distance race tells more about the real endurance of an athlete. After 3 races the team is on the 3rd place in the overall ranking.
After a podium place in Stein the team is heading for a higher goal. After a great training camp in Leysin with the pro's of teamTBB, they will be ready to rock.
Karlijn vd Burg says:
After a little break from the primary league races it is now time for the OD triathlon in Veenendaal. We are starting with Celine, Jasmijn, Daniella, and myself. Really excited for this race as it is longer then all the other races that we have done so far for this circuit. Hopefully we can now have a little advantage over the other teams since most of us are used to doing longer distances.
Planning to go hard and hopefully we get to keep our third place.
Celine Schaerer says:
I am looking foreward to race in Holland again, and hope that we can get on the podium again. I am happy that it s a race over the olympic distance and not sprint, after all the long races i did last time ;)
I think we all trained very well in Leysin and we are ready to give our best on saturday and smash it. :)
Jasmijn vd Burg says:
Its almost weekend and this weekend we have a race on the program. this time raceday will take place in Veenedaal. Its a Olympic Distance race, one of the primary league races. I'm not sure what I can expect, its a really different race compared to the other races we have done this season. We are starting with Celine Schraher, karlijn van der Burg, Dani Polsch and I. Hopefully we can make it a reall teamTBB race!
Daniella Poeschl is ready for a revanche on her race in Stein, where she had a real tough day. After a great preparation for the World championship 70.3 IM in Las Vegas next week, she is well prepared, physically and mentally.
So the team is looking forward for a great race.
